Terms of service
The short, honest version of the agreement between you and us.
Effective 22 August 2026
About these terms
Expert Helpline at experthelpline.com is operated by Digital Consultancy. These terms are the agreement between you and us. By using the site, starting a conversation or paying for a question, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
Who can use the service
You need to be at least 13 years old and able to enter into a contract where you live. If you are using the service for a company, you confirm you are allowed to act for it. Please give accurate details, since a specialist can only work from what you tell them, and keep your sign-in and emailed sign-in links to yourself. If checkout creates your first account, you receive full account access on that device right away. If you pay while signed out with an email that already belongs to an account, your initial access is limited to that one conversation until you verify the email.
What we do
Grace, our automated assistant, asks a few questions to understand your situation. Grace gathers information and does not solve the problem. After payment, a specialist joins the same conversation and works through it with you. The specialist who accepts your question stays with it for the session.
What we do not do
Specialists give guidance in good faith based on what you share. That guidance is not a guaranteed outcome, and it is not a substitute for professional advice where the law requires one. Do not use the service in an emergency or for anything involving someone's safety. We do not give medical, legal, financial, tax or investment advice.
Payment
Each question is a single, one-time charge shown to you in full before you pay. There are no subscriptions, no recurring charges and nothing to cancel later. Payment is taken by our payment provider in its own secure checkout; by continuing you authorise that charge. Prices are shown in the currency at checkout and, unless stated otherwise, include any tax we are required to collect. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may pause access until it is settled. Optional extra services offered during a session, such as a live remote session, are always separate purchases that you agree to on their own.
Refunds
If nobody picks up your question within 24 hours of payment, we refund you in full. Once a refund is approved we issue it within 5 business days, to the original payment method; your bank or card provider may take longer to show it. If you are unhappy with a session for another reason, write to us and we will look at it individually. None of this affects any refund rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
Your messages and files
What you write and attach stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to operate the service. Before your question is assigned, specialists may read the conversation collected by Grace to decide whether they can help. Once assigned, the specialist assigned to it and the people who operate the service as needed to provide support, manage payments and review quality can see and read the conversation. Attachments are available only to you, the assigned specialist and the people who operate the service when necessary. We do not publish or sell your conversation or files. There are size and file type limits, shown to you when you attach something. A conversation becomes read-only 72 hours after a specialist marks it complete if nobody replies in the meantime; a reply from either side keeps it open.
Fair use of the service
Please use the service honestly. Do not use it for anything unlawful, do not abuse or threaten the people helping you, and do not pretend to be someone else. Do not upload malicious files, try to break or overload the site, or get into accounts and conversations that are not yours. Do not share your access with other people. Do not scrape the site, copy conversations in bulk, or use automated tools to collect content from it, including for training AI systems.
Suspending or ending access
We can suspend or end access, or remove content, where there is abuse, fraud, a security problem or an unpaid or reversed charge. If we end your access to a question you paid for and the fault is not yours, we refund it. You can close your account at any time from your profile; you can restore it by signing in again within 30 days, after which your data is deleted as described in our privacy page.
Availability and services we rely on
We aim to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it will always be available. It may be interrupted for maintenance or by problems outside our control. We rely on other companies for hosting, sign-in and verification, the automated assistant and payments; these are described on our privacy page. Their own terms apply to what they do.
Our website
The design, text, logo and software of Expert Helpline belong to us or our licensors. You may use the site for your own use of the service. Please do not copy, resell or republish it.
Independence
Expert Helpline is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon, or any airline, carrier, retailer or other company mentioned in conversation. Product and company names belong to their owners.
Limits on our responsibility
We provide the service with reasonable care, but we do not promise a particular result. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or business, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the question the claim relates to. Nothing here limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
If something goes wrong on your side
If someone brings a claim against us because you used the service unlawfully, broke these terms, or uploaded something you had no right to upload, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we face as a result.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away the protection of any mandatory laws of the country you live in. Please write to us first; most problems are settled that way faster than through a court.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant we will say so here rather than leaving you to spot it. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
